Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of talOS (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

talOS helps you discover job opportunities, generate application materials, automate parts of the application process with your approval (Copilot Apply), and receive AI-assisted career guidance. The Service is a tool to assist your job search; we do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with laws in your jurisdiction and with employer and job board terms when applying to roles.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access (via Settings → Contact support).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
  • Submit false or misleading information in applications without your intent to represent yourself honestly.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, security, or billing controls.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Use the Service to spam employers or violate third-party site terms (e.g. job boards).

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload (resumes, messages, documents). You grant us a license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including sending it to AI and infrastructure providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to upload content and that it does not infringe others' rights.

6. AI-generated output

AI outputs (tailored resumes, cover letters, Copilot actions, advisor replies) may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review all materials and form submissions before sending them to employers. You are solely responsible for what you submit on job applications.

7. Copilot Apply

Copilot may open job sites, suggest field values, and upload documents you select. Copilot does not submit applications on your behalf unless you explicitly complete submission on the employer site. You remain responsible for login credentials, CAPTCHAs, and final review of every application.

8. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed through Clerk Billing and Stripe on a recurring basis unless canceled.
  • Prices and plan limits are shown in Settings and at checkout.
  • Usage limits (agents, discoveries, builds, Copilot minutes, advisor messages) reset monthly as described in the app.
  • Promo codes grant plan access without payment when valid; we may revoke or change promos at any time.
  • Refunds are handled according to applicable law and our billing policies; contact support for billing questions.

9. Free tier and changes

We may modify features, limits, or pricing with reasonable notice where required. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms or plan terms.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (job APIs, auth, payments, browsers, AI). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites you visit when applying to jobs.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, talOS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless talOS from claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which talOS operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by consumer protection law where you live.
